Public Land Elk Hunts
Bow, muzzleloader and rifle hunts across New Mexico's premier elk units — from the Gila to Unit 34.

Public Land Elk Hunts
Compass West offers fully guided trophy elk hunting in most of New Mexico's best units. We specialize in both drawn tags and guaranteed landowner tags, plus private-ranch hunts where you don't have to draw — and we also offer free application service. Draw the best tags without any worries; we do all the work for you.
We guide Units 34, 36, 37, 29/30 as well as Units 6A & 6C, Units 12, 13 & 17, Units 16A & 16D, and Units 2, 4, 57 & 58 to the north. Our quality-unit hunters have run near 100% opportunity and pushing 90% success over the last decade, with a real shot at a 330–350+ bull on any given day. And almost 100% opportunity with nearly 90% success in the opportunity units we hunt.
Hunt packages.

Rates shown are verbatim from our Mallard Bay listings; ask about specific unit availability. Late-season cow elk hunts (private-land landowner tag) are also available — priced the same as our Unit 34 cow packages: $3,000 for a 2.5-day hunt with tag, or $4,800 for the full 3-day guided package.
