Colorado is the elk capital of the West, with the largest herds and some over-the-counter tags. We hold special permits in the La Garita Wilderness (Unit 68/681, in the Rio Grande National Forest) and we have late-season BLM permits in Unit 80/81. Whether you are dreaming about an elk or a mule deer on the wall, we have you covered.

Choose fully guided drive-in, town-based or wilderness horseback camps for elk and mule deer. Our areas are also trophy mule deer units, from high-country bow hunts to 3rd- and 4th-season rut hunts. Units 68, 79 and 80/81 also have tremendous mule deer hunting throughout the seasons!
Hunt packages.
Guided hunts include in-field transportation, all meals, guided days, tent lodging and field care to the trailhead. A Colorado hunter-safety card is required. A 50% deposit books your dates; on draw hunts a $500 deposit is fully refunded if you don't draw. Pricing from Compass West — call to confirm current dates.
