We handle all the paperwork and apply you in New Mexico for elk, mule deer, sheep, ibex and oryx. Should you be unsuccessful in the draw, or missed the deadlines – we have landowner tags to fit a variety of budgets. We also welcome hunters who have drawn tags on their own and are looking to find a quality outfitter for their hunt of a lifetime! The quality of our guides and cook staff set us apart but the success rates and client satisfaction will keep you coming back year after year.

What Our New Mexico Hunts Offer:

We offer only fully guided hunts in New Mexico. This includes lodging, meals and full days of guided hunting as a part of the service. We feel that the incredible hunting opportunities this state offers are better showcased on fully guided hunts. Our hunts are 2◊1 or offer 1◊1 for a small extra charge. You are here to hunt – most guided days are FULL days. We never want you going home wishing you hunted harder. We treat your tag like our own and hunt every second. We are more than willing to meet your needs and adjust to whatever schedule you would like to keep. On many of the rut hunts for bulls, the best plan is to hunt from before light until they stop bugling, then take a long break in the field and glass all afternoon or return to camp, then head back out about 2-3 in the afternoon for the evening hunt. Private ranch hunts are a little slower paced with spot and stalk hunts in the morning and afternoons, with mid days left alone on the ranch so the elk can relax and not become over pressured.

Guided hunts in Unit 30, 34, Unit 36 and Unit 37

We offer guided New Mexico elk hunts in the Lincoln National Forests units 30, 34, unit 36 and unit 37. These are some of the best units in the state that provide the highest success rate of any of our guided New Mexico elk hunts. One of the best things about hunting in unit 30, 34, unit 36 or unit 37 is the number of shot opportunities hunters will have on any of the Guided bow, muzzleloader or rifle hunts. Unit 34, unit 36 and unit 37 hunts also offer hunters the chance to hunt in units with lots of 285-320 bulls and a realistic opportunity to harvest a 330-350+ bull on any given day of the hunt. We also have a number of pure trophy hunters who focus on unit 30, 34, unit 36 and unit 37 for monster bulls on rifle, muzzleloader or bow hunts. Guided bow hunts in unit 34 hunters have taken 380-355-360-372 bulls in just the last few years and almost every year hunters return to camps with stories of monsters in the woods. Guided rifle hunters in unit 34 enjoy our highest success rates as well as highest encounter or opportunity rates. Our unit 34 guided hunters have been near 100% opportunity and pushing 90% success rates this last 5 years here. Unit 36 and Unit 37 offer the same great hunts, just much more physical. You better be in shape to hunt 36 or 37.

We start with guided bow hunts, leading into youth only, followed by Muzzleloader and then rifle. We have guides on the ground in unit 34 every year from the first day of bow season until the end of January. Our guides almost know the elk by name and for sure by the sound of a bugle before the season is over. We have enjoyed high harvest rates on bulls in the 285-320 class with a real shot at 350 possible on any given day. Hunter opportunity rates are as high as 100% most seasons. Hunts are glass and stalk and calling, mixed with a little waterhole hunting amongst the ponderosa, pinion and junipers of the area. We hunt from 6,000-10,000 foot elevations allowing us to be where the bulls are. We hunt from high mountain country to the lowland desert scrub brush country. Unit 36 and unit 37 muzzleloader elk and rifle elk hunts offer you the chance to hunt the earliest hunt dates in the state for premium units. Overall, this hunt has good draw odds as well as some of our highest harvest rates. There are a good numbers of landowner tags for these units as well, allowing you to plan a hunt with no draw. We always have unit wide landowner tags in this area as well as the 50,000 acres that we lease for private ranch hunts.

Guided hunts in Unit 13, Unit 17 and Unit 12

Unit 13 hunts offer great draw odds as well as some of the best trophy opportunities in the state of New Mexico. Unit 17 is a great unit with strong populations and real trophy potential. Unit 12 hunts are also great hunts with super harvest odds and some nice bulls to boot. Terrain varies in each unit from easy pinion and juniper flats to lung crushing hills and canyons. For the most part unit 13 and unit 12 are gentler in both elevation and terrain than unit 17 (the roughest of the 3). They all offer a real chance to kill 300-350 bulls on about any day you are in the field.

Guided hunts in Unit 16A, Unit 16D and Unit 16C

The Gila hunts are some of the best elk hunts in the world – but they are also some of the hardest to draw elk hunts in the state of New Mexico. However, you’re never going to get to hunt this incredible area unless you apply or buy landowner tags. The beautiful Gila National Forest of New Mexico is a mix of open cedar, juniper flats and ponderosa pine forest. Hunting in unit 16A or 16D in the Gila never disappoints! In these areas we specialize in trophy guided elk hunts, in unit 16A, unit 16D and unit 16B. Most of the bulls that we take in this area score 320+ and you will likely have the opportunity to both see and harvest bulls in the 340-360 class or even bigger. There are few landowner tags in this unit; advance planning is required if you are looking for landowner tags here. Drawing a tag in the Gila is the most affordable way to hunt these incredible units.

Guided hunts in Unit 2

Unit 2 elk hunts are nice hunts here in the northern part of the state. You should expect descent draw odds for a unit 2 guided elk hunts. Landowner tags are also available for a reasonable rate if you miss the draw or want to plan a hunt and not have to worry about drawing a tag. Unit 2 elk hunts typically offer 250-290 bulls. Most are very nice 5◊5-6◊6 but we will harvest a few 300+ bulls in this unit every year. Hunting unit 2 seems to be getting better every year for better quality and numbers of elk. We see good numbers of animals each season and have good chances for harvesting nice bulls. Success rates are extremely high in this unit. With affordable costs and ok draw odds it’s a super choice for a first hunt. Many of the first time elk hunters are not going to want to hold out for a 300 inch bull with a nice 6◊6 is screaming his head off 40 yards away, this helps with the almost 100% harvest rates. We access the area with 4 x 4 trucks and a mix of glassing and walk hunting with some sitting on water holes and calling on early hunts. This hunt is as hard as you want to make it. We can hike big hills and glass if you want, but for the most part we can get about every place we need to with the trucks. Of all our elk hunts, this hunt is the least physically demanding guided elk hunt we offer. However, as always with elk the better shape you are in the higher success rate and opportunity rate you should expect.

All-inclusive hunting package plans include 3 meals per day, 6 nights, 5 full days of guided hunting. All hunts will be based from canvas tents with propane heaters, cots and sleeping mats, three meals per day, 5 full days guided hunting, 6 nights lodging. All packages are based on double occupancy; single rates are available.
